Firefighters Joseph Graffagnino, 33, of Ladder Company 5, and Robert Beddia,
53, of Engine Company 24 were killed in the line of duty on August 18,
2007 fighting a seven-alarm blaze at the former Deutsche Bank.
The
first two photos give a perspective of where the Deutsche Bank Building
is in relationship to the Ten House and the World Trade Center site.
The Deutsche Building is across the street from the Ten House to the
west. The World Trade Center site is across the street to the
north of the Ten House. The last two photos of Ladder 5 responding
were kindly provided by Andrea Oliver.

Previous Incident at Deutsche Bank on
Thursday, May 17, 2007
Three
Ten House firefighters suffered minor injuries on Thursday, May 17.
A 14 ft. pipe fell from the 35th floor of the former Deutsche Bank
building and came crashing through the 2nd floor roof of the
House onto the second floor stairwell. The Deutsche Bank building was
damaged on 9/11 and is being taken down. Two members were within a few
feet of the crash.
